Afternoon concert: LempiLempi

Tue 11 September at 13:30

LempiLempi is a window between the past and the present. The duo formed by Päivi Hirvonen and Tero Pajunen improvises, creates new music, tries to achieve the impossible, and tells stories. The duo’s compositions and lyrics are inspired by folk and traditional music that they turn into present-day tunes with the help of their strong vision and skilled hands. They dare to embrace the unknown and return to the familiar. LempiLempi wins over the audience with their stage presence and energetic, masterful playing. The duo’s love for music and each other is reflected in their performances.

In addition to their duo and solo projects, Päivi Hirvonen and Tero Pajunen also play in bands such as Okra Playground and the children’s music orchestra Lastenmusiikkiorkesteri Ammuu.
