Eleanoora Rosenholm, Rosita Luu

Fri 15 Mar at 19

Intimate club gigs take over the Sello Hall foyer in the spring!

Eleanoora Rosenholm is the brainchild Noora Tommila, Pasi Salmi and Mika Rättö from Pori. Their ingenious debut pop album “Vainajan muotokuva” (“the portrait of a dead person”) filled with detective story lyrics was released in 2007. When the time came to take the show on the road, the music project turned into a seven-person band. Mika Rättö does not play live but works as its patron of a kind. Noora’s enchanting voice and the excellent band create a disco that will make any stay-at-home serial killer mom dance.

After a seven-year hiatus from live performances, Eleanoora Rosenholm made a comeback to the stages in late 2018 with the release of their new album “Talvipalatsin puutarhassa” (“in the Winter Palace garden”).

Olli Joukio (drums), Noora Tommila (vocals), Tuomas Niskanen (guitar), Tatu Tyykkilä (percussions and drums), Pasi Salmi (synthesizers), Veli-Ville Sivén (synthesizers) and Turo Sinkkonen (bass).

The evening will be opened by Rosita Luu, the latest project of singer-songwriter Merita Berg. Rosita and new music were born after Berg’s band Hullu Ruusu went on a break. Rosita Luu’s music is exquisitely eccentric and incisive, powdery PMS pop that trickles from under the bell jar to delight everyone who thinks that running with sharp objects is a perfectly good idea. Rosita’s powerful lyrics draw from real life and wrap the listeners in wild geese down at the top of the pyramid. Helmi Levyt published Rosita Luu’s debut album SOS in October 2018.
